Patricia Justine Sztuba Obituary

Patricia Justine Sztuba, 82, of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana.

Patricia Moore was born on August 27, 1939, in Chicago, IL the daughter of George and Clara (Kessler) Moore.

She was very creative & talented. She received a scholarship to art school in high school. She married the love of her life Thomas Sztuba Sr. Together they raised five children. While living in Chicago, she had a taxidermy business called Fin, Fur & Feather.

Pat liked to hunt & fish with her husband. She bred hunting dogs too. Among her many talents, she was an excellent cook. In addition, she made porcelain dolls and clothing for them. She could create anything with a sewing machine. She also built elaborate dollhouses with working lights and windows that opened & closed! Patricia drove a school bus and was a real estate agent too.

In the early 1990's she moved from the Chicago area to Chetek, WI with her husband Thomas & youngest son Tom Jr. She learned how to build a pond, and single-handedly tiled the floors in the entire house.

She was an avid gardener, and an animal lover too. Her children used to bring home many stray & wounded animals, and she would nurse them back to health. Sometimes we were allowed to keep some of them. She was tough & strong and blessed with a devout faith in God, which she passed along to her family. We are grateful!

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Catherine & Kenneth Smith, daughter & son-in-law Victoria & Edward Stewart, son & daughter-in-law Thomas Sztuba Jr. & Kim, grandchildren Shannon & Sherri Daniel, Erik Stewart (Heather), Madeline Smith (Santiago), Jaxton Sztuba, & Tifiney weber & family, great-grandchildren, Lexi Whitley, Luke & Leo Daniel, cousin Marylin & Kurt White, brother Thomas (Marilyn), sister-in-law, Barbara Fier, sister-in-law Elvira Moore, and many nieces, nephews & friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E Sztuba Sr., infant son, Timmy, son, Daniel, daughter, Susan Daniel, brother, George Moore Jr., and parents, Clara (Thomas), and George Moore Sr.
