David Wayne Beal

<p>David Wayne Beal, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the age of 71. David was born on March 14, 1950 in El Dorado, Kansas to Benjamin Beal and Jackie Fishel (Pickett). He grew up in El Dorado and lived here the majority of his life. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his courageous service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and the Air Medal. After his military service, he went on to serve his community as a Law Enforcement Officer for the cities of El Dorado and Eureka. David had many passions in life. His number one passion of course was the casino. He loved all aspects of the casino, except for roulette. David loved family gatherings, especially when they were his family poker parties. He was always a hard worker and dedicated himself to everything he did. He loved sitting on his front porch visiting with his two best friends. He enjoyed raising his children and seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. And of course, he loved his cat companion, Bob. David was a devoted man and a very loving and caring son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him, which is many people because he rarely met anyone that he did not like.<br /> The family would like to thank the ICU staff at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center for all of the love and care they provided for David and ensuring he was comfortable in his final days. Memorial donations in David&rsquo;s name can be made to the Wichita VA.<br /> David is survived by his children, Brandon (Shannon) Beal, Vicki Beal, and Katy Lee; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Jim Serviss) Sullivan and John (Heidi) Beal; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.<br /> David was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Beal and Jackie Fishel (Pickett); and brother, Gerald Beal.<br /> A visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 5-7pm at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home.
