Betty J. Sabine Pratt Westmoreland-Betty J. Sabine Pratt, 82, a former Madison resident, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side after a long illness. Born in Hamilton on May 31, 1939 the daughter of the late Francis Louise Oldmstead Ditch. Betty was a life-long hard-working farmer. She had worked on various farms in the Madison area. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty had lived with her daughter and caregivers, Linda and her son-in-law, Mark, for the last ten years. Betty was also grateful for the loving care provided to her by her granddaughter, Kayla. Survived by four children Ronald (Barb) Sabine of Morrisville, Linda (Mark) Fidler of Rome, Bonnie (Fred) Johnson of Oriskany Falls, Les (Stephanie) Pratt of Chadwicks, two stepdaughters Sylvia Snell and Doris Grimes, a sister Shirley Ditch of North Brookfield, brother Mike Ditch of North Brookfield, 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband Edward Pratt, two sisters, three brothers and her mother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 5 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison, with the Rev. Carol Jubenville, Pastor of the Bouckville United Methodist Church, officiating. There will be a calling hour, 4-5 PM, prior to the funeral service. Spring interment will be made in Madison Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider donations in Betty’s honor to Hospice and Palliative Care Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, 13413.
