Deborah Lynn Ruby, 71, of Gambier, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at The Laurels, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Deborah was born September 30, 1950, in Marion, Indiana to Lenn and Pauline {Burris} Gilliland.

She attended Mount Vernon High School.

Deborah married Richard Allen Pruett in 1967.  He passed away in 1987. She then married Ronald Lee Ruby on December 24, 1995.

Deborah’s main occupation was being a wife and mother. She also maintained a timeshare in Apple Valley. She attended Covenant Church, in Mount Vernon. She loved planting flowers, hiking, singing, and traveling.

Deborah will be deeply missed by her husband Ronald Lee Ruby; daughter Dawn Pruett; grandchildren Veronica, Misty, Jeremy, Iesha, Diquan, and Tye; three great-grandchildren; sister Gloria (Jim) Frost; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deborah was preceded in death by her first husband, and daughter Ayngel Pruett.

Friends may call Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Overly officiating.  Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
