Leominster-Anne Dorothe (Otto) Pawelski, 93, died peacefully at home in Leominster on Friday, January 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

   Anne was born in Strasbourg, France on November 27, 1928. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Ludwig Pawelski. They were married for 44 years, until his death in 1991.

   Anne lived in France until she moved to Fitchburg at the age of 19. She then settled in Leominster in 1956. Anne was a deacon at Trinity Congregational Church in Fitchburg before its closing. She sang in the choir and participated in the German suppers that the church held. Anne was extremely family oriented and dedicated her time caring for her children and grandchildren. After her children grew up, Anne worked for many years at the Fitchburg Center for Brain Injured Children. In her spare time, Anne enjoyed knitting, sewing, bird watching, gardening, reading German magazines, and speaking four languages.  She specialized in French and German cuisine and was an incredible pastry chef. Anne also enjoyed traveling, especially back to France, and Germany, and taking a yearly trip to New York to see shows on Broadway. She will be remembered for her adventurous and fearless nature.

   Anne is survived by her children; Jo-Ann Cummings and her husband Peter of  Sterling, MA, Linda Charron and her husband John of Brandon, FL, Ronald Joseph Pawelski and his wife Ellen of Bolton, MA, Renée Pawelski of Leominster, MA, and Matthew Charles Pawelski of Fitchburg, MA; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Melissa Cummings and husband Richard Schroeder and their children, Dietrich and Mitchell, Samantha Cummings and husband Joe Cipriani and their children, Lena and Henry, Amanda Gleason and husband Craig and their children, Will and Edward, Adam Charron and his wife Brooke and their children, Kyrstina, Spencer, and Abby, Ben Charron and his fiancé Julie Wylie and their children, Haylee and Dexter, Emily Pawelski, and Joseph Pawelski; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Anne was predeceased by her brother, John Pierre Otto from France.

   A Celebration of Life and burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg will be held in the Spring.

   In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Feeding America (https://feedingamerica.org).
