Russell O. "Rusty" Gift, Jr. of Old Route 16, Waynesboro, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 28, 2017 in his home. Born July 13, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Russell O., Sr. and Janet (Linton) Gift of Smithsburg, MD. Rusty was a graduate of Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1981. He and his wife of 31 years, Mrs. Tammy S. (Honodel) Gift, were married June 22, 1985. Rusty was currently employed by the United Methodist Church as Maintenance Director at Camp Penn, Waynesboro and Mount Asbury Camp in Newville, PA. He was a member of Gettysburg Four Square Church where he was active with the security and mission teams. Rusty will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by three children, Kristi L. Gift and her fianc, Luke S. Newton of Hanover, PA; Laura M. Christman and her husband, Tyler of Mercersburg, PA and Dana M. Gift, at home; two grandsons, Demitri and Zephyr Christman; sister, Robbin Hamilton and her husband, Tim of Hagerstown, MD; one niece; one nephew; and aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2017 in the York Springs FourSquare Church, 400 Main St., York Springs, PA with the Pastor Mark Chester officiating.
