Florence Scott

<p>Florence (nee Stapleton) Scott, resident of Harrison, passed away on Jan. 30, 2022, at the age of 93.&nbsp; She was born on April 29, 1928, in Jackson County, KY to the late Lee and Ethel (nee Reed) Stapleton.&nbsp; She was the youngest of her siblings. She married Taylor Scott Jr. on November 24, 1954, and they were blessed with two sons: Terry &ldquo;Mike&rdquo; and Gary.&nbsp; Florence worked for 21 years at U.S. Shoe and later was a homemaker.&nbsp; She loved spending time with her family, gardening, sewing, artwork, and writing poetry. She was a lifelong supporter of the Harrison Church of the Nazarene.&nbsp;</p> <p>Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted sons: Terry &ldquo;Mike&rdquo; (Janet) Scott and Gary (Charlene) Scott; Cherished Granddaughters: Stephanie (James) Scott Weinle, Gabrielle Scott; great-granddaughter: Sophia Weinle, and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Florence was preceded in death by her husband Taylor Scott Jr., 2018, her parents, and siblings: Walker Stapleton and Henry Stapleton.</p> <p>Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home, Harrison.&nbsp; Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:30 AM BRATER WINTER FUNERAL HOME..&nbsp; DUE TO WEATHER AND ICY CONDITIONS AT CHURCH.&nbsp; Burial to follow at Glen Haven Cemetery. We are asking that anyone attending the visitation and service that people wear masks.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church through the funeral home.&nbsp;</p>
