<p>Lynda Sue Hopper was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 25th, 2022 at age 67, in Arvada, Colorado.</p> <p>Lynda was born in Rochester, New York to John and Marguerite on January 26, 1954.&nbsp; She spent her childhood in California, before moving to Colorado in High School. Lynda graduated from Colorado State University.&nbsp;</p> <p>Her drive and strength has been felt by everyone. Lynda was a tough mother; literally, from being a rugby player in College at CSU to handling all the curve balls in life especially with 3 kids and a husband that was also a kid.</p> <p>Lynda married John &ldquo;Skip&rdquo; Hopper on June 28, 1977, in Poudre Canyon, Colorado. Before and after marriage, Lynda and Skip resided in Maui, Hawaii where she managed Napili Kai Beach Club. Hawaii was a place very special to her heart. She loved living a block away from the ocean and being able to see the humpback whales out her window.</p> <p>Lynda was very creative and made many beautiful pieces of art. She loved drawing, painting, sculpting and especially enjoyed making stained glass. She also made many of her children&rsquo;s / grandchildren&rsquo;s clothes and endless costumes!&nbsp;</p> <p>She worked in financial services for over 30 years in many capacities. From doing taxes to running the box offices in the rock-n- roll industry. She loved telling stories from Hawaii, concerts she was able to attend and celebrities she got to meet.&nbsp;</p> <p>She moved back to Colorado when she decided to become a mom. Her pride and joy became her three children, Desiree, Brett and Lynn, as well as granddaughter Ariel and new grandson, Hayden.</p> <p>Lynda loved being a mother and was always involved in her children&rsquo;s interests. She was a soccer coach to her boys and a girl scout leader to her daughter&rsquo;s troop. She adored her grandchildren and always wanted to be around them as much as she could.&nbsp; She loved helping others and will be surely missed by all who knew her.&nbsp;</p> <p>Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marguerite, older brother Bob, her stepfather Robert, son-in-law Michael and the father of her children John Hopper.&nbsp;</p> <p>Lynda is survived by her children, Desiree Ott, Lynn and Abbie Hopper, Brett and Stephanie Hopper, granddaughter Ariel Ott, grandson Hayden Hopper, Sisters Barbara (Floyd), Janet (Tom), Brother John (Kathy), many nieces/nephews, her god-children and lots of friends.&nbsp;</p> <p>A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 pm Friday February 4, 2022 at Los 3 Garcias located at 5175 w 68th Avenue in Arvada, Colorado 80003.</p> <p>In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Hawaiian whales at https://whaletrust.org/donate/</p>

Obituary

Lynda Sue Hopper was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 25th, 2022 at age 67, in Arvada, Colorado.

Lynda was born in Rochester, New York to John and Marguerite on January 26, 1954.  She spent her childhood in California, before moving to Colorado in High School. Lynda graduated from Colorado State University. 

Her drive and strength has been felt by everyone. Lynda was a tough mother; literally, from being a rugby player in College at CSU to handling all the curve balls in life especially with 3 kids and a husband that was also a kid.

Lynda married John “Skip” Hopper on June 28, 1977, in Poudre Canyon, Colorado. Before and after marriage, Lynda and Skip resided in Maui, Hawaii where she managed Napili Kai Beach Club. Hawaii was a place very special to her heart. She loved living a block away from the ocean and being able to see the humpback whales out her window.
