Kathleen M. Lininger

Kathleen M. Lininger Age 69 of Spring Prairie passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born March 20, 1952, to Bernard and Florence (nee Uhen) Vogt in Burlington. She was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area. She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s grade school and St. Mary’s High School “Class of 1970” following graduation she attended Deaconess Nursing School in Milwaukee receiving her Registered Nursing Degree. On May 17, 1975, she was united in marriage to Chester E. Lininger at St. Mary Catholic Church, Burlington. Following their marriage, they built a home in 1977 where they raised their family. Kathy spent her career caring for others at Aurora Burlington Hospital as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2012. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and canning vegetables. She was an avid reader, movie watcher and loved collecting Hummel figurines. Kathy is survived by her husband Chet, children: Joseph (Ann) Lininger and Matthew (Jill) Lininger, grandchildren: Alexander Lininger, Margaret Lininger, and Samuel Lininger. She is further survived by her siblings: Joann (Mike) Sheard, Bill (Jeanne) Vogt and Dave (Gina) Vogt, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. In honor of Kathy, memorials may be made to Burlington Catholic School or St. Matthew School, Oak Creek. Kathy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses at Burlington Aurora Hospital and Homecare staff for all their care and compassion at this difficult time. The family is encouraging masks to be worn at the visitation and service. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11AM at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
