Gary George Bengel
Gary G. Bengel, age 70, of Hawthorne, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday morning, January 27, 2022. Born in Hackensack, Gary lived most of his life in Paramus and Ramsey before moving to Hawthorne about ten years ago. A hard worker, Gary was a sales representative for Horizon Foods and had previously owned his own construction company. Most recently, he owned a food company and happily delivered food to his many clients and friends. He cherished the time he spent with his family and adored his beautiful grandchildren, Sofia and Jonathan. Gary was the beloved husband of Frances (nee Albano) Bengel. Loving father of Matthew Bengel of Hawthorne and Jonathan Bengel and his wife Stefanie of Wayne. Predeceased by his sister Susan Ziegler and his brother Dennis Bengel. All funeral services and cremation will take place privately. Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne.
