Ramona Maurice Hamm, 69, of Ottumwa, died January 26, 2022 at her home. She was born April 3, 1952 in Ottumwa to Kenneth and Virginia Armstrong Hamm. Ramona attended Indian Hills Community College School of Nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse for Sunnyslope Care Center, Ridgewood Nursing and Rehab and Highland Hillcrest. She enjoyed making bead jewelry and ornaments. She also enjoyed thrifting, traveling and collecting antiques. Ramona loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and she always had a stash of sweets available. Ramona was a very kind and giving person. Surviving is her mother, Virginia Hamm; a daughter, Jacque (Sam) Bookin-Nosbisch of Ottumwa; 2 sons, Allen Husted (Shawna Christy) of Manassas, VA and Joshua (Kelli) Husted of Bloomfield; 9 grandchildren, Tyler (Brittaney), Gabby (Haliegh), Grace, Alli, Jake, Alec, Sam, Halle and Grant; and 2 brothers, James (Joni) Hamm of Ottumwa and David (Irene) Hamm of Marion. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; a son-in-law, Doug Bookin; a sister, Roxanne Dennison; and brother-in-law, James E. Dennison. Her body has been cremated. Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside memorial services and inurnment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 9th at Shaul Cemetery with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
