Manuel Martinez Garcia, age 81, of Staten Island, New York passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022. He was born on August 16, 1940 in Carballosa, Galicia, Spain to Francisco and Visitación Martinez. He was one of 6 children who immigrated to the United States at age 18. He was a skilled construction and masonry tradesman who owned and operated a contracting company for over 30 years. He was an avid gardener and fisherman, who generously shared care packages of the “fruits of his labor” with his family, friends, and neighbors. He was married to his wife, Consuelo Martinez Mino, for 49 years. He is survived by his wife Consuelo, 3 daughters, Maria, Theresa, and Linda, grandson Lukas, and four siblings Josefa, Luis, Jesus and Angelita. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Fransisco.
