Teresa "Cricket" Bitner

<p>Teresa &ldquo;Cricket&rdquo; Bitner, 69, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Teresa was born August 3, 1952 in Princeton, KY to Carl Howton and Nellie Ruth Whitford.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a homemaker, raised two children and one grandchild. Loved family, butterflies, Coca-Cola and Bingo. Cricket enjoyed being outside and working on making her yard a happy and beautiful place for everyone who visited her. &nbsp;She was known for her delicious German chocolate cakes, Pecan Pies and her awesome Green Chili stew (actually anything she baked or cooked was wonderful.). Babies and puppies are what made her the happiest. Cricket always called to check on her family and friends and was there to give a helping hand whenever needed. She will be dearly missed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Teresa was a widow of 15 years from the love of her life Nickolas Bitner Sr. she is survived by her Son Nick and Wife Kim of Rio Rancho, Granddaughter and care giver Candace Bitner-Pierce and Husband Alex of Rio Rancho, along with her Daughter Tammy, her four children, AJ, Jessica, Al and Alicia, four great grandchildren with two on the way. She has two Brothers Carl Howton and Wife Cheryl from Albuquerque, NM and Dale Howton and Wife Vicki of Red Oak, IA, Sister Donna McGregor and Husband Clifton of Princeton, KY, Brother Daryle and Wife Sheila Goodaker of Smithland, KY.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;In lieu of flowers the family is taking donations towards a memorial marker to be placed in the ABQ BioPark, for more information please reach out to (505)270-5135.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>There will be a viewing held on February 7, 2022 at 11:30pm until 1pm, Entombment will follow directly after.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Teresa “Cricket” Bitner, 69, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022.
