Obituary
Everdean (Ms. Dee) Flannigan went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, on November 20, 1937, to the union of Leroy and Essie Bradley. Among those who preceded her in death include her parents, her husband (Robert L. Flannigan), her son (Richard Flannigan), two sisters, and two brothers.
Ms. Dee moved to Chattanooga in the early 1980s as her husband retired from the United States Marine Corps. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in several hospitals and nursing homes and retired from Memorial Hospital. In addition, she volunteered at the Girls Club, Inc., where she taught sewing and crafts. Ms. Dee enjoyed quilting and crocheting beautiful afghans and quilts, which she gave to others as a token of her love.
Ms. Dee was a faithful and devoted member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. She served on the Nurse's Guild Ministry, Women of Excellence Ministry, the Widow's Ministry, and the Senior Ministry. She loved her church family and was a dedicated servant of the Lord.
Cherishing her memories are her daughter, Sharon Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; son, David Flannigan, Sr (Lillian) of Loganville, GA; daughter, Robin Camacho (Eduardo) of Arlington, TX; 8 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Quinton Bradley (Shelby) of Las Vegas, NV, Roderick Bradley (Linda) of Norfolk, VA, and Ronald Bradley of San Diego, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Public viewing will be held 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2022, at the funeral home, followed by a 12 noon chapel service. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
