Harold R. “Hank” Foster, 73, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 7:50 p.m. Monday January 24, 2022 in his home. He was born April 3, 1948 in Dyer, Tennessee to the late M. Austin and May M. (Dean) Foster. He married Virginia L. Sharp June 27, 1970 in Sidney; and she preceded him in death March 24, 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Alexander of Pleasant Hill, Mindy Goins of Fairborn; three grandchildren, Lindsey (Blair) Elliott, Kelsey Goins, Nick Honeycutt; one great grandchild, Brody Becker and another on the way; and two sisters, Lydia (Jim) Wick of Greenville, and Wanda (Adrian) Auckerman of Springfield. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Austin W. Foster and Keith A. Foster.

Mr. Foster was a graduate of Troy High School. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps where he served two tours in Vietnam. He worked as a machinist for B. F. Goodrich for over forty years and retired in 2008. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 6557 in Pleasant Hill. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and playing golf. Above all, he loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved pup, Riley.

A gathering of family and friends to honor his life will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hill Cemetery with his dear friend Clint Sparkman officiating.
