Carolyn L. WILLIAMS

<p>Carolyn Williams was born in Dayton, OH on October 10, 1942 to the late James Dillard and Sue Baker. She was called home on January 24, 2022. Carolyn is proceeded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.</p><p>Carolyn was educated in the Dayton Public School and worked various jobs. A very hard worker who loved her family deeply. A sharp dresser, class act and avid dancer, she owned the room the moment she entered. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grands. Carol was considered a mother to all who crossed her path. On an average summer day, she would have ten to fifteen kids in the house. As a mother of five, it was never a dull moment at the Carter home. It was always a place to be and a place to come if you needed love, a warm and lovely hug, or a sense of security. She was known for her tough love, good advice and was on point with the housework. If you were at the house, she would put you to work in the house or in the yard. She treated you like one of hers. This is what made her so special. The fact that she loved and treated everybody the same was priceless. Carolyn Williams was respected and very well known in the neighborhood by every child. She has been a mother to all. Her bright and joyful soul with her beautiful smile will be missed by many.</p><p><br></p><p>Carolyn leaves behind her greatest accomplishments, her children: Lisa Ross, Louis “Butch” (Shawnea) Carter, Pamela Carter, Brian (Carmen) Carter and Sheila (Michael) Irby; two brothers: Steve Baker and Donald Baker; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great- grandchildren. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives who loved her dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: West Memory Gardens Cemetery.
