Edward Olszewski Obituary

Edward Olszewski, 87, of Fair Haven, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 22nd. Edward was born in Bloomfield, New Jersey on July 11, 1934, a son of the late Edna and Edward Olszewski. He was raised in Bloomfield then lived in Verona before settling in Fair Haven 61 years ago. Edward proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during the Korean War.
Edward worked at Bell Telephone in Holmdel for nearly 35 years and retired as a senior tech aid. He was the chairman of their ski club for many years. When he was not working, he loved to tinker with things. He rebuilt many cars over the years and could fix anything in your home. Edward even built his own vacation home in the Poconos! He loved being in the Poconos. Edward had his NJ and PA real estate license and sold (and bought) many homes. He had a strong affection for his dogs. He could often be found with a dog on his lap. Edward will fondly be remembered for his great sense of humor and the way he showed he cared by teasing you.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Nan Olszewski and their 3 children; Ed, Jr. and his wife Trisha; Donald and his wife Monica and Susan Staubitz and her husband Steve. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Ashley, Kayla, Caitlin, Joey, Jaxon and Zoey along with 7 great grandchildren.
Edward was predeceased by his daughter Nancy Morgan and his sister Eleanor Titus.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring, please check back for details.
