<p>Romona Robinson passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, due to pre-existing conditions complicated by Covid. Romona was born on May 8, 1932, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, an only child to William Gaddis &amp;Velma (Rogers) Gaddis. She spent her childhood heavily involved in school &amp; church activities. Her parents loved to dance, &amp; she loved to dance from childhood on. She graduated from Chickasha High School in 1950, where she was a proud member of the Chickettes Pep Club.</p> <p>She married Ben William Hudgins III on November 11, 1950. A short time later they settled in Del City, Oklahoma. This union produced five children. She was very active in her children&rsquo;s school &amp; their activities as a homeroom mother, Girl Scout Leader, &amp; taxi driver for numerous gymnastics &amp; dance lessons. Later, she operated a home daycare. Romona was a talented seamstress sewing for four daughters &amp; her sister. She was known for her custom-made Christmas stockings for her ever growing family. She was also an excellent cook with many of her dishes &amp; recipes passed down through the generations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Her working career outside the home began as a temporary office worker at Genie Personnel that turned into a permanent position at Standard Life Insurance. After the family moved to Tecumseh, she worked at Mission Hill Hospital &amp; for Dr. Francis Davis. She then went to work for the State of Oklahoma in various positions in DHS, primarily in Elder Care. She retired from the state &amp; married Raymond Robinson in Dec 1994. With this union, she gained four additional sons. After Christmas that year, they RV&rsquo;d for over six years, traveling all over the USA, the southern Canadian Provinces &amp; into northern Mexico. After Robbie passed in 2001, Romona returned permanently to Moore, OK. She loved her family, babies (any babies), dancing, traveling, playing cards &amp; dominoes, cooking, &amp; sewing, but, most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren &amp; great-grandchildren. She was a Granny Deluxe never missing an opportunity to celebrate any of her family&rsquo;s accomplishments.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, &amp; stepson Bill. She is survived by sister Becky (Vernon) &amp; nephew Josh. Her five children: Janie (Jim), Kathy (Ken), Lela (Willie), Ben IV (Sherrie), &amp; Tammy (Mickey). Her surviving stepsons are Robbie Jr. (Andy), JB (Toni), &amp; John (Teresa). Her twelve grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Rusti, Jennifer, Tony, Justin, Jared, Samantha, Jacob, Matthew, Ben V, &amp; John. Great grandchildren include Chole, Conner, Andruw, Javier, Enrique, Eva, Logan, Cager, Cheyenne, Cole, Brady, Vera, Preston &amp; Reahann &amp; a large extended family &amp; numerous friends.</p> <p>Visitation is on Wednesday January 26 at John Ireland Funeral Home on Broadway in Moore. Celebration of her life is Thursday at 10am at FUMC 201 W Main Moore OK. Burial will Immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park Estates Norman, Oklahoma.</p>
