Orlando Moore

With deep regret, we announce the passing of Orlando Moore. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Orlando Eric Moore was born on July 11, 1974 in Darlington County, a son of Reverend Sylvester and Ella Mae Moore. On January 25, 2022 he departed this earthly realm. Orlando received his education in the Darlington County public school system and was a Hartsville Senior High School graduate. He was employed with A.O. Smith and Galey Lord for several years. Orlando was a member of Ousleydale Baptist Church and received his spiritual nourishment from both his natural and spiritual family. Learning the virtues and lessons of life from those role models who influenced him, he carried those mound of wisdom throughout his life. Orlando was an outgoing young man and had many different interests. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with others, sharing life experiences. In his leisure, Orlando indulged in fishing as a relaxing activity and also was a faithful football fan. He also has a great interest in music, as he was proud to share his talent with playing the saxophone in the school band during his younger years. The interest in placing his thoughts and feelings in poetic form was a hobby he enjoyed. Those left to cherish his memory are Reverend Sylvester and Ella Mae Moore; two loving children, Dealante Moore and Zamaya Moore; three siblings, Vincent J. Moore, Calvin Fields and Randall L. Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.
