Virgil "Jim" Price Bennett

<p>Virgil Price &ldquo;Jim&rdquo; Bennett, 88, formerly of 121 Derrick Road, Pauline, SC, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Born November 26, 1933, in Union County, he was a son of the late Sterling Price and Mildred Lunette Lancaster Bennett. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Cunningham Bennett.</p> <p>Mr. Bennett was a life-long member of West Springs Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Spartanburg and served in the U. S. Army.</p> <p>Survivors include a son, Charles Bennett (Elizabeth) of Roebuck; a daughter, Pam Johnson (Tim) of Inman; grandchildren, Lauren McGinnis (Patrick), Alaina Fowler, Wesley Bennett (Miranda), Jeffrey Bennett (fianc&eacute; Lauren Moore); great grandchildren, Bennett Fowler, Ansley McGinnis, Jameson McGinnis; a sister, Carolyn Jackson, a brother, Ralph Bennett, and a special friend, Joyce Pettit.&nbsp; Along with his parents, Mr. Bennett was predeceased by a brother, Austin Bennett and a sister, Mildred Sinclair.</p> <p>Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 4811 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy, Pauline, SC, 29374, conducted by Rev. Greg Black and Rev. Dr. Henry Johnson. Visitation will be after the service at the graveside.</p> <p>Memorials may be made to the West Springs Baptist Church, 4811 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Pauline, SC, 29374.</p> <p>Floyd&rsquo;s North Church Street Chapel</p>

Virgil Price “Jim” Bennett, 88, formerly of 121 Derrick Road, Pauline, SC, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.
