Robert F. Farmer

Robert F. Farmer peacefully passed away on 24 January 2022 at the age of 84. He is survived by the love of his life and caring partner, his wife of 62 years, Joy. They met while attending Eastern Michigan University and had 4 loving sons: Craig, Scot (Plainfield, IL), Timothy (Redondo Beach, CA), and Stephen (Las Vegas, NV); 3 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kevin, and Jake. He was preceded in death by Craig, his parents (Joseph and Genevieve), a sister (Maxine), and a brother (Thomas). He was born and grew up in Monroe, MI. He graduated from Monroe Catholic Central High School in 1956 and Eastern Michigan University in 1960 with a B.S Degree in Business Administration and a member of TAU Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Benedictine University, where he also taught International Marketing and Sales Management as an Adjunct Professor for nearly 10 years as a part time professor. His professional career started at Gillette Safety Razor Company where he held numerous sales positions within the United States as well as leadership positions as Managing Director for their New Zealand and Canadian operations before transferring to Gillette’s Paper Mate Division in Chicago. In the 1970s he transitioned into the dental consumer products industry and held various Senior Leadership positions within Howmedica, Coe Laboratories, Henry Schein, GC America, Carl Parker and Associates before he retired from Crown Delta Corporation. Bob’s life-long passion of baseball, golf, family and friends were always at his forefront. Despite the medical challenges he faced over these past years, his will to live and maintaining his sense of humor was an inspiration for all those that he touched. Bob and Joy enjoyed their time between their homes in Aurora, IL and Oro Valley, AZ. Visitation will be at St. Irene Catholic Church. 28W441 Warrenville Rd., Warrenville from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 5, 2022. Interment Private.
