Earl F. Lucas, 86, of Zanesville, died at 9:40 A.M. Monday, January 24, 2022 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born March 14, 1935 in Middleport, Ohio a son of the late Roy E. and Flora Jesse Lucas. Earl was a 1953 graduate of Lash High School. He was a Certified Engineer who retired from 5B’s Manufacturing as a plant manager. Earl Loved golfing, fishing and working on clocks.

Earl was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His career as an Engineer and Plant Manager spanned several decades allowing him the opportunity to work with many wonderful people, whom he valued highly and spoke of often. He was an innovative designer and developer in all his positions and endeavors, intellectually curious and always learning, teaching and sharing with others. Earl was a devoted member of Maranatha Bible Church.

Surviving are his wife of sixty four years, Donna L. Cleveland Lucas, daughters, Lori L. Baker and Lisa L. (Jon) Cronin; grandchildren, Caleb L. (Kate) Baker, Renae E. Elliott, Madison M. Elliott, Matthew J. (Donte) Elliott, Rachel E. Cronin and Adam J. Cronin and great grandchildren, Allis L. Baker and Layla, Lennon, Oliver Cronin and Brandon Ranson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Richard, Walter and Robert Lucas; sisters, Adeline Joseph, Hilda Ruby and Francis Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Friends and family may call from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, WHERE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville with full military honors accorded to him by the United States Army, in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29.
