<p>Mrs. Carol Anderson, 74, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 after a lengthy illness.<br /> <br /> She was born on March 11, 1947 in Gassville, Arkansas to the late Carlton Leroy Stanislawski and Carol Jeanette Knapp.<br /> <br /> She married John C. Anderson on May 27, 1967 in Havelock, NC. Her family and community were very important to her. For 30 years, she was an active member of the Chapin Baptist Church in Chapin, S.C. where every summer she directed the annual Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Church choir.<br /> <br /> She served as a teacher at Seven Oaks Elementary School, Chapin Elementary School and Chapin Middle School. She was named Teacher of the Year at Chapin Middle School for the 1997-1998 school year.<br /> <br /> In addition, she served as the Varsity Cheerleader Coach at Chapin High School for 8 years beginning with an initial squad with no competition experience. When cheerleading became an officially recognized sport by the State of South Carolina, she coached them to their first state championship in 1999.<br /> <br /> In 2020, she was presented the Community Service Award by the Chapin High School Hall of Fame committee for her outstanding achievements with the Chapin High School Cheerleaders and support of Chapin High School athletics.<br /> <br /> In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her younger brother, Carlton &ldquo;Buzz&rdquo; Maurice Stanislawski. Carol is served by her loving husband of 54 years, John C Anderson of Griffin, Ga, her two sons, Gregory Anderson of Spring, Texas and Ben Anderson of Sharpsburg, Ga. Daughters-in-law Laura Anderson, Spring, Texas and Angela Anderson, Sharpsburg, Ga. As well as, six grandchildren, Darius, Laila, Leslie, Caden, Reese and Sloane Anderson. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Cheryl Grayson, of Missouri and sister-in-law Helen Stanislawski of Bluffton, SC.<br /> <br /> She was also very fond of her nieces Caroline Graves of Bluffton, SC, Catie Vasgar of Hoquiam, Washington and Brianna Brown of Jacksonville, Florida and her husband Spencer and their 2 children Bella and Apollo. She was affectionately referred to as &ldquo;Aunt Pinkie&rdquo; by her nieces.<br /> <br /> Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28th from 6pm to 7pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home at 1891 West McIntosh Road, Griffin, Ga 30223. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29th at 12pm at County Line United Methodist Church located at 416 County Line Church Road, Griffin, Ga. 30223. Reverend Katie Mattox will conduct the service.</p>

Mrs. Carol Anderson, 74, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on March 11, 1947 in Gassville, Arkansas to the late Carlton Leroy Stanislawski and Carol Jeanette Knapp.

She married John C. Anderson on May 27, 1967 in Havelock, NC. Her family and community were very important to her.
