East Liverpool, Ohio- Jacquelyn Faye Bennett Blatch, 87, formerly of Peake Street passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 6:55 a.m. at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a brief illness.

Born April 23, 1934 in East Liverpool, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Ralph Bennett and Lucy Blanch Hargreaves Bennett. She was retired from the East Liverpool Public School System after 27 years working in the Middle School Cafeteria.

A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1952, she was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church for 68 years until its closing. She belonged to the Active Circles and the United Methodist Women while attending Calvary. In 2002 she started attending the 1st Baptist Church.

Jacie resided in her home on Peake Street for over 70 years. Her home brought her such pride and comfort. She was so proud of her late husband for remodeling the house with his plastering expertise. They raised their children there and babysat their grandchildren in the same dwelling. Family always came first with Jacie… she was very much loved by her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert “Bert” Blatch, whom she married May 15, 1955, on May 12, 1993. She leaves behind one daughter, Inda Blatch-Geib and her husband, Michael of Akron, Ohio; and one son, Wilbert “Gus” Blatch and his wife, Carolyn of Lisbon, Ohio, with whom she resided.

There are six grandchildren, Aaron Timothy Blatch and his wife, Kimmi, Ethan Christopher Blatch, Chialla J. Geib-Fenske and her husband, Andrew, Dred Michael Geib and his wife, Sydney, Souji Elaine Cutlip and her husband, Jeremiah and Ennin Geib; and five great-grandchildren, Kinzley Blatch, Kamden Blatch, Kyla Blatch, Keegan Blatch, Jackie Cutlip.

In addition, she leaves behind one brother, Thomas Arthur Bennett of East Liverpool, Ohio.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Mark Blatch in 1958; and two brothers, Stanley Bennett, Ralph Bennett.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

No visitation or service has been planned according to Jacie’s wishes.

All local arrangements were entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
