Dan Weninger, age 83 of Naples, passed away on January 24, 2022. Born in Chicago, Dan’s family moved to Indiana when he was nine. Dan served as a member of the Air Police with the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Dan owned and operated Computer Cash Register Company for 39 years, retiring in 2005. He and Doris eventually purchased a condo in Naples, Florida in 1987. Dan never met a stranger and was always ready with a good story or a joke. He was a businessman, antique auto enthusiast, a sailor, and a life-long Cubs fan. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Doris; son, David; grandson, James; great-grandson, Jaxon; sisters, Pauline Lawhorne of Knox, Indiana, Dolly (Jack) Hunnell of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and Lee (George) Weir of Solvang, California, and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Dan willed his body to the University of Miami and, in keeping with his wishes, no formal services are imminent.
