Beverly Kay Stein Obituary

Beverly Kay (neé Bice) Stein, known as Kay to everyone that knew her, of Dayton, Ohio passed at the age of 63 on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Kettering Hospital after a long fight with cancer and kidney disease.

Born on October 29,1958 at Baylor Hospital to Diane and Carl Bice of Dallas,Texas.

In 1979 she met the love of her life and husband of 40 years, Brian Todd Stein, who she married May 9, 1981.

Although she ultimately lived a majority of her life in Ohio with her husband and their children, Kay was always a Texan and let everyone she could know it. She was even a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (in her mind, although she did unsuccessfully try out for the team).

One of her favorite memories was being a Cheerleader for Plano Senior High. Kay was an ornery, red-headed Texas woman, that never met a stranger. Her love of rock music influenced so many people in her life including her three children, Alecia Anne Fuller, Collin Garrett Stein and Dylan Carl Stein.

She was a freelance Costume Designer and had a passion for vintage and antiques, especially 50’s modern. She loved a good garage sale.

She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, three children, sister Karen Bice, and three grandchildren Samuel Fuller, Dylan Stein Jr. and Audrey Stein.

A celebration of life is being planned for Saturday, May 7th 2022 at a TBD outdoor location in Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to Kay’s final arrangements.
