<p>Jolina Marie Teal, 2 ½ year old daughter of Rocky Wayne Teal and Virginia Nichole Carver went to be with the Heavenly Angels on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Northeast Medical Center following a lifelong illness.</p> <p>Jolina was born August 7, 2019 in New Hanover County, NC.</p> <p>She was a very strong-willed little girl who loved Moana and her Slothie. She loved her two brothers, enjoyed singing and being tickled, held and snuggled. She was an inspiration to her family. She loved her nurse, Kate!</p> <p>Funeral services for Jolina will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at St. Paul’s Reformed Church conducted by Rev. Jerry Currin, pastor. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.</p> <p>Family members in addition to her parents include her two brothers; Billy James Teal and Barry Evan Teal. Paternal grandparents, Rocky Teal, Sr. and Betty Teal of Kannapolis, aunt, Brandy Teal and uncle Joshua Halbig of Water View, Va. and a cousin, Marissa Halbig also of Water View, Va.</p> <p>Also surviving is the Maternal grandmother, Callie Carver of Oak Island, aunt, Angel Carver of Oak Island and uncle Austin Carver of Oak Island and an aunt, Tabitha Carver of Southport.</p> <p>The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Levine Children’s Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28083.</p> <p>Whitley’s Funeral Home is serving the family of Ms. Teal.
