Julia A. Hayes, 68, widow of Boyd M. Hayes, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at her home.<br/><br/>Born June 9, 1953, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. Welch and the late Edna Corene Smith Welch. She retired from Crescent Tool.<br/><br/>Survivors include a son, Michael A. Hayes (Kathleen Ferendaz) of Ashwood; a special great-grandson, Andrew Hamilton; and two sisters, Mary Grooms (Willie) and Gloria Hatfield (Bubba) all of Borden.<br/><br/>She was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry E. Welch, Jr., Roy A. Welch, and Carvin C. Welch.<br/><br/>A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.
