Dover NH-Dorothy M. Ferry, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday January 24, 2022 at the Residence at Silver Square. Born on April 29, 1925 in Dover NH, she was the daughter of Ralph Otis, Sr. and Agnes (Tuck) Otis. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Dover who loved living near the ocean and spending time at the beach, especially York Beach, ME. She and her husband Bob were avid golfers and members of both Rochester Country Club and Cocheco Country Club. They enjoyed playing golf together as well as participating in the tournaments, leagues, and social activities of the clubs. Dorothy and Bob loved to travel south in the winter. She especially enjoyed beach destinations on the Gulf Coast of Florida and in Bermuda. She was known for her upbeat and positive attitude. Dorothy was a happy and kind person who was a joy to be around. Her distinct smile and laugh could light up a room. She will be greatly missed by her family as well as the residents and staff at Silver Square. Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband Robert Ferry, her parents Ralph and Agnes Otis, her brother Ralph Otis, Jr., her sister Lillian Wright, and her niece Norma Cole. She is survived by her nephews Mark Otis, Douglas Otis, William Ferry, Robert Ferry, Patrick Ferry, and Henry Jones, her nieces Lois Enman, Sandra Binette Noreen Norman, and Kim Hood, and cousins Phyllis England and Norma Rowe. A Graveside service will take place on Friday January 28, 2022 at 1:00pm at Riverside Cemetery located on Packers Falls Rd, in Newmarket NH.
