Rhoda Jeannette Mitges
We are grateful for the life of Rhoda Jeannette Mitges (nee Adams). She passed away peacefully on March 15th 2021, in her 91st year. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 19, 1930. She especially loved to help care for, and do nice things for, those she loved. Her many interests included: reading, music, gardening, art, interior decorating, clothes designing and sewing. She was a sponge for new knowledge. She was predeceased by: her loving husband of 64+ years, Beverley Joseph Mitges (1929 – 2014), her parents Lorne Adams (1900 – 1938) and Agnes Kelly Adams (nee Fyfe) (1894 – 1979), her son Phillip Mitges (1951 – 2015), her sister Marjorie Archer and brother Kenneth Adams. Her father’s parents were Albert Adams (died 1937), and Isabel Telfer (died 1939), and her mother’s parents were Alexander Benzie Fyfe (1861 – 1942) and Agnes Kelly Fyfe (1866 – 1934). Remaining to mourn her passing are her daughters Cindy (Steve) and Marika, son David (Micheal), and many grand children and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends. We each have our fond memories of our time with Rhoda, and are thankful for the positive difference she made in our lives and in the world. Our thanks to all those that helped Rhoda in her life.
