<p>Dorothy &ldquo;Dot&rdquo; Tilley Freeze, 88 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 23, 2022.&nbsp; Dot was born in Carbarrus County on May 12, 1933 to the late Edward Stepter and Gracy Money Tilley.</p> <p>Dot was a graduate of J.W. Cannon High School in 1951.&nbsp; She was devoted mother and wife, who loved to square dance with her late husband Charles. She went on to work at Cannon Mills for 40+ years before retiring.&nbsp; Dot remained close with her friends from high school by meeting for breakfast every month over the years.&nbsp; Dot enjoyed crocheting for her and family and friends.&nbsp; She was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis for 30+ years.</p> <p>Dot was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Lee Freeze in 1992, her brothers, James and Raymond Tilley; her sisters, Ollie Enwright, Lois Rowland and Lissie Mae &ldquo;Sister&rdquo; Flynn. &nbsp;Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jane F. King; her son, Jeff C. Freeze and his wife Karen, her grandchildren, Dallas (Emily), Rusty (Tyler), Kari (Jose), Holly, Cory, Justin (Jenny), and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Abigail, Emmaleigh, Mason, McKenna, Brianna, Remy, Levi, and Nora and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Dean Hunter officiating.</p> <p>Memorial contributions can be made in Dot&rsquo;s memory to the National Kidney Foundation or Central Baptist Church.</p>

Dorothy “Dot” Tilley Freeze, 88 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 23, 2022.  Dot was born in Carbarrus County on May 12, 1933 to the late Edward Stepter and Gracy Money Tilley.
