Edwin R. "Ike" Talbot Obituary

Edwin R. Talbot Oriskany Falls-Edwin R. Talbot, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was born in Leonardsville on May 7, 1944, the son of the late Floyd and Gladys Light Talbot. Ike was raised in Leonardsville and attended Mount Markum High School. Ike was a life-long dairy farmer. He had worked on various farms including the Brouillette Family Farm of Knoxboro and the Hansel Family Farm of West Winfield. Edwin enjoyed the stock car races at the Utica-Rome Speedway. He made several friends at the Oliver Apartments, and would invite friends over to assist in assembling ji saw puzzles. Ike was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Ike is survived by his loving children, Paula Hight, and her husband Greg Hight, of Ilion, Mary Talbot, of Herkimer, Patricia Talbot, and her fiancé, Aaron Stich, of Blossvale, Agnes Lollman, and her husband Jeffrey Lollman, of Madison, and his son, Dale Talbot, of Vernon Center; his brother Clifford Talbot and his wife Cory, of Oriskany Falls; eight grandchildren, three great grand kid and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Floyd and Gladys; his beloved wife Ella in 2015: and his sisters Evelyn Jacobs and Cynthia Talbot. There will be a celebration of Ike's life to be determined at a future date. In keeping with Ike's wishes, there will be no calling hours and private family burial services will be in the spring in Madison Cemetery. Edwin’s family have entrusted their care to Jeffrey T.
