Dessa C. Krcma Obituary

Dessa C. Krcma, passed away at home on Sunday, January 23rd, surrounded by her loving family. We honor not only her passing on this day, but also her 62nd Wedding Anniversary to her loving husband, Victor. Our family had also recently celebrated her 82nd birthday. Dessa converted to Catholicism shortly before becoming married to Victor. She had a strong commitment to her faith and held a special place in her heart for the Blessed Mother Mary. She was born on January 12, 1940 to Lois Lloyd and Lester Catron, in Carthage, Missouri. The memories of her childhood were filled with the joy of spending time with her four sisters Polly, Earline, Jeanie, and Freda, and one brother Jim. Their lives were not always the easiest, however the love they have for each other was always very strong. She graduated from Eugene Oregon High School, in 1957, and then shortly thereafter moved to Anchorage Alaska where she met her husband, Victor. They met while working for the U.S government and were married on January, 23, 1960. Vic and Dessa had a strong commitment to family which resulted in a move back to Green Bay, Wisconsin where they raised their four children. Over the years she was known by neighbors, friends, and family as being hard working, gracious, caring, and loving. Dessa was an avid gardener who enjoyed working endless hours caring for her beautiful indoor plants, and outdoor gardens. She was especially fond of red roses. She made a wonderful home for her husband and children for many years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and caring for her family. Once her family was grown, she went back to school to obtain her CNA license. She worked many hours, and drove long distances caring for patients of Bellin and Unity Hospice. She worked for 10 years in a career she truly loved. Dessa is survived by her husband Victor. She is further survived by her four sons and their wives, Michael (Jill) Krcma, John (Lisa) Krcma, Charles (Lisa) Krcma, James (Jean) Krcma; three sisters, Polly Lupi, Earline Henson, and Freda Thomason; Twenty grand-children; Three great grand-children of which two are on the way. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and sister. The family would like to give a special Thank You for the medical support provided by Dessa’s daughter-in-law, Lisa Krcma (Chuck). We also like to thank Dad for the wonderful loving care and commitment showed to Mom in her time of need. This provided tremendous comfort to our family.
