<p><span style="font-size:16px;">Barbara A. White, 70, of North Platte, passed away on January 20, 2022, surrounded by family at home.&nbsp; She was born April 21, 1951, in Grand Island to Harry and Suzanne (Nuss) Paulman.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Barb grew up in Grand Island, attending and graduating with the class of 1969 from Grand Island High School.&nbsp; After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Grand Island.&nbsp; She married Robert Hoppes in 1974.&nbsp; To this union, two daughters were born, Amber and Carrie.&nbsp; Barb also gained a stepson, Troy Hoppes.&nbsp; After Robert&rsquo;s passing in 1986, she later married Sam L. White.&nbsp; From this marriage, she gained three daughters, Lisa, Kristie, and Mindy.&nbsp; Barb and Sam enjoyed 35 wonderful years together.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">She worked for First National Bank in North Platte and then became a co-owner of White&rsquo;s Hearing Advanced Management up until her death.&nbsp; Barb also maintained and managed her and Sam&rsquo;s rental homes through the years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Barb loved working with Pawsitive Partners as she loved animals, especially her cats and dogs that she had through the years.&nbsp; She enjoyed watching the birds, deer, and white-tailed squirrels in the backyard.&nbsp; More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.&nbsp; From her kids to her grandkids, she followed and enjoyed watching all their sporting events and activities throughout the years.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Survivors include her husband, Sam White of North Platte; children, Amber (Travis) Tilford of North Platte, Carrie (John) Hoppes of Lewis, England, Lisa Peterson of Moorehead, MN, Kristie Hernandez of North Platte, Mindy (James) Nicholas of Sutherland; grandchildren, Ty, Kolten, and Kylee Tilford of North Platte, Jack and Fern Hoppes of Lewis, England, Kevin Peterson of Moorehead, MN, Ashten Hernandez of Windsor, CO, Alexa Hernandez of Omaha, Ava Hernandez of North Platte, Mira, Olivia, and William Nicholas of Sutherland; cats, Bella and Scooter; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Barb is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hoppes; her parents, Harry and Suzanne Paulman; sisters, Judy Boltz and Cathy Reed.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Memorials are suggested to Pawsitive Partners or the American Cancer Society.&nbsp; Online condolences may be shared at&nbsp;www.adamsswanson.com.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Bethel Church with Pastor Geoff Safford officiating.&nbsp; Burial will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Grand Island Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be held noon-7:00, with family present 5:00-7:00, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">The service will be livestreamed on Adams &amp; Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.</span></p>

Barbara A. White, 70, of North Platte, passed away on January 20, 2022, surrounded by family at home.  She was born April 21, 1951, in Grand Island to Harry and Suzanne (Nuss) Paulman. 

Barb grew up in Grand Island, attending and graduating with the class of 1969 from Grand Island High School.  After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Grand Island.  She married Robert Hoppes in 1974.  To this union, two daughters were born, Amber and Carrie.  Barb also gained a stepson, Troy Hoppes.  After Robert’s passing in 1986, she later married Sam L. White.  From this marriage, she gained three daughters, Lisa, Kristie, and Mindy.  Barb and Sam enjoyed 35 wonderful years together.
