Robert E. Deale, Jr.

<p>Robert E. Deale, Jr., 77, of Harrington, DE formerly of Baltimore, MD went home to his Savior on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, Milford. He was born in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Robert E. Deale, Sr. and Wilhelmina (Erhardt) Deale. He served as a police officer with the Baltimore County Police Department for many years before retiring. After retirement, Robert went to work for the State of Maryland in the Department of Highway Safety, working there for years before retiring. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford, a member of both the Harrington and Milford Senior Centers, and the F.O.P. He enjoyed working on his family&#39;s genealogy, reading, traveling and was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. He was one of the few people to achieve Eagle Scout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carole S. Deale in 2015 and a sister Shirley Sult. He is survived by his loving daughter Rebekah (Deale) Proudfoot, her husband Hunter and their kids, Makayla and Camden, as well as many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p> <p>A viewing will be held from 1 - 2 pm on Friday, January 28 at the McKnatt, Carpenter &amp; Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.&nbsp; Face coverings are required for all those in attendance in accordance with State of Delaware mandate. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either the Harrington Senior Center, 102 Fleming Street, Harrington, Delaware 19952 or to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Avenue, Milford, Delaware 19963.
