Paul William Ploener Obituary

Our beloved Paul William Ploener passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 65. After several courageous years battling cancer, he died peacefully knowing he was loved. Paul was born May 14, 1956 to Arthur and Florence Ploener in Wilmington, Delaware. Paul earned a B.A. in History from Bates College and a M.B.A. at Syracuse University. He lived in Fayetteville, Ga with his wife Nancy and cherished mother-in-law, Elizabeth Holmes, before her passing.

He will be mourned by his wife Nancy Ploener, his siblings Maggie and Josh, daughter Faith and son-in-law Yuta Naoi, daughter Rebekah and son-in-law Brandon Bolton, grandchildren Mirabel and Aila Naoi and Palmer, Nolan and Holden Bolton. He will be missed by his business partner Chris Murray. He will also be missed by those at Griffin First Assembly.
Paul was a kind and fun loving man. His big booming laugh and voice echoed through the walls of his home singing funny songs or calling his family and friends special nicknames. Paul worked hard but spent time swimming and playing golf. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with loved ones. Paul or “Pop Pop” adored caring for and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a doting father who loved his daughters unconditionally. He had a passion for his business in radio and was dedicated to his church and the Lord. He was also active in politics.
Paul was a devoted and loving husband to Nancy for 43 years. Nancy stood by his side until his very last breath.

Although we will desperately miss Paul's physical presence in our lives, we know he is dancing in heavenly glory with his Lord, Jesus Christ.

All are welcome to join us in celebrating Paul's life at a Memorial Service held at Griffin First Assembly, 2000 W. McIntosh Road, Griffin, GA 30223 on Saturday, February 5th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donate in memory of Paul Ploener to “Media Ministry of Griffin First” at www.griffinfirst.org.
