Obituary
Mr. Danny Hugh Adams, age 79, of Vidalia, died Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Montgomery County and lived in Vidalia for fifty years. He was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery County High School and attended Brewton Parker College. He was a U.S. Army veteran, served during the Vietnam Era. The majority of his career was in fabrications and he was a founding member of Georgia Hi-Tech Fabricators. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert “J.R.” Adams, Jr. and Beulah Lester Craft Adams and one brother, John Alfred Adams.
His family includes his wife of fifty years, Anella New Adams of Vidalia; three children, Scott Adams and wife Geina of Uvalda, Chris Adams and wife Misty, and Mindy Adams Sumner and husband Clint, all of Vidalia; one sister, Gail Adams O’Neal of Lyons; five grandchildren, Brian Fowler, Justin NeeSmith and wife Heidi, Evan Adams, Ella Kate Adams, and Claire Sumner; three great-grandchildren, Chevelle, Kellen, and Kai; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Adams of Lyons, and Zackie New of Savannah; three nieces, Shawnee Gunn and husband Marvin of Vidalia, Allison Barr of Vidalia, and Dawn Lee of Lyons; one nephew, James O’Neal of Macon; one great-nephew, Jacob Barr of Lyons; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be Monday, January 24th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Conine and Justin NeeSmith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
