Mrs. Cortie Jamison Potter, age 92, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away Saturday January 22, 2022 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born Saturday, April 27,1929 in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late John and Carrie Wolfe Jamison. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Richard Potter; one son, Lonnie Potter; seven brothers, Shannon Jamison, Shelby Jamison, Tifton Jamison, Paul Jamison, Pearl Jamison, R.B. Jamison, and Lovell Jamison. Cortie was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flowers and spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Dale (Linda) Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, Dee (Angie) Potter of Garrison, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Michael (Shannon Porter) Potter and Beverly Potter; one daughter in law, Dolores Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, and a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Service for Mrs. Potter will be private at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue, Garrison, Kentucky with Brother Jacob Sartin officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky. Family will serve as pallbearers.
