<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Joseph Eddie &ldquo;Joe&rdquo; McCutcheon, 83, husband of Betty Alexander McCutcheon, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at MUSC Health of Florence.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Mr. McCutcheon was born on October 17, 1938, in Florence County, son of the late Joseph Eddie McCutcheon, Sr. and Eva Thigpen McCutcheon. Joe was a graduate of Aynor High School and attended Florence Darlington Technical College. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, retired Mail Handler for the Postal Service and a member of Matthews Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Surviving in addition to his wife, Betty A. McCutcheon of Effingham, are his children, Terry G. (Melissa) McCutcheon, Rev. Steve (Sharon) McCutcheon and Kim M. (Joey) Harrington; grandchildren, Kelly McKenzie, Todd McCutcheon, Craig (McKayla) Shaw, Kimberlin (Trevor) Gribben, Rebekah (Trevor) Campbell and Christian McCutcheon; great grandchildren, Addison, Jaxon, Emily, Layton, Addalyn, Keagan, Val and Lexi.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Mr. McCutcheon was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell McCutcheon and a number of brothers and sisters.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2022, at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery, Effingham.</strong></p>

Joseph Eddie “Joe” McCutcheon, 83, husband of Betty Alexander McCutcheon, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at MUSC Health of Florence.

Mr. McCutcheon was born on October 17, 1938, in Florence County, son of the late Joseph Eddie McCutcheon, Sr. and Eva Thigpen McCutcheon.
