Jimmy Marvin Griffin Sr
February 15, 1952 – January 19, 2022

Jimmy Marvin Griffin Sr, 69, of Anderson, SC passed away on January 19th, 2022.

Jimmy was the son of the late James Oliver Griffin and the late Claudine Peeples Hamilton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Stepfather Dewey Hamilton, mother and father-in-law C.F. and Naomi Kirby.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Griffin, his son, Jimmy “Jay” (Mandy) and his grandchildren, Carson, whom he called Turnip Head and Parker, whom he called Butter Bean. Jimmy was their Pappy. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Payne (Travis), Pat Hayes and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and served many years in the Pre-School department.

Anyone that knows Jimmy knows that they could find him in front of the television watching his Westerns.

One thing that can be said about Jimmy is that he loved to aggravate but he loved with his whole heart. He was a great friend to all he met.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23rd from 2:00pm-3:00pm with the service following at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choice.
