Athena "Justin" Seago Obituary

Athena Marie "Justin" Seago passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 35 following a long battle with lupus. Justin was born on February 18, 1986 in Austin, Texas to Rebecca and Daniel Seago. The family eventually relocated to Wellington, Kansas where he graduated from Wellington High School in the class of 2004. Justin attempted to go to college and work but his declining health prevented him from continuing. He loved time spent with his family, relaxing and listening to music. Justin was a big sports fan whose favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and North Carolina Tar Heels. He will be missed dearly by his family and community of friends. Survivors include his daughter, Annabeth Seago; mother and father, Rebecca and Chad Basinger; sister, Andrea Kreifels and husband Chris; brother, Zachary Basinger; grandmother, Bev Shaw; niece, KaitLynne Kreifels and nephews, Alexavier, Tyler, Samson and Carter Kreifels all of Wellington, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Daniel Seago and grandparents, Steven and Saundra Basinger. Private memorial services will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be given to the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation. Contributions will be used to assist with memorial expenses and can be left with the funeral home or given online at http://www.brycedaymemorialfoundation.com/donate.
