Christine Miles Thornhill, 79, wife of the late John Wesley Thornhill, Sr., died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Mrs. Thornhill was born on April 20, 1942, in Florence County, daughter of the late Horace Miles and Nellie Smith Miles. She was a graduate of Olanta High School and worked at Wentworth Manufacturing and other manufacturing positions. Mrs. Thornhill was a member of New Town Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra McAllister of Lake City; grandsons, Josh (Katelyn) Sivertsen of Sumter and Ethan Sivertsen of Lake City; great grandson, Miles Sivertsen; step-daughter, Elaine (Nelson) Lee of Scranton; step-son, John Wesley (Dianna) Thornhill, Jr., of Florence; step-grandchildren, Whitney (Andrew) Vovou of Johnston; Alex (Allie) Lee of Cades; step-great grandson, Stavros Vovou of Johnston; brother, Dalton (Denise) Miles of Lake City; and nephew, Drew (Kelbe) Miles of Lake City.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Lake City Memorial Park.

Visitation will follow at New Town Free Will Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
