Morris John (Doug) Kloor Jr, MD passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 16th. He was born November 2nd, 1936 in Crowley, LA to parents Morris (Doug) Kloor Sr. and Lucille Toler Kloor.

Doug graduated from Crowley High School in 1954, LSU in 1958 and LSU School of Medicine in 1962. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
In 1967 he completed his post-graduate study in psychiatry and child psychiatry at Tulane University and practiced in New Orleans until his retirement in 2006. During his career he maintained a private practice, served as medical director at DePaul Hospital and worked for the State of Louisiana.

Dr. Kloor is survived by his partner of 49 years, Albert Newman, sister Kay Kloor Keigley, nieces Karen Keigley Picard, Suzie Keigley Coffee, Debbie Keigley Fulham and numerous great nieces and nephews to whom he was affectionately known as "Uncle D".

In their nearly 50 years together, Doug and Albert enjoyed travel, real estate development, good food, dear friends and all things related to the City of New Orleans.

Doug was truly one of a kind and his fiery spirit and contagious laugh will be missed by all who loved him.

The family is grateful for the wonderful care provided by the staff of R and R Care solutions (especially Karen Lee), and the staff of Notre Dame Home Health. In lieu of flowers, please honor the memory of Dr. Morris
(Doug) Kloor, Jr. with a donation to The National World War II Museum,
945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, or a charitable organization of your choice.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 followed by a Prayer Service from the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 at 3:00 P.M. Everyone is invited to attend a reception after the Prayer Service at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Crowley Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA on Monday,
