Valerie Blakely, age 77, passed away peacefully with her loving family be her side on Jan 18, 2022 at The Reserve at East Longmeadow. She was born on Mar 1, 1944 in Newport, RI to the late Ernest and Leona (Benoit) Dupont. After high school Valerie received a double master’s degree and worked as a teacher for many years up to her retirement. Valerie leaves two sisters, Pamela Brooks of Springfield and Corrinne Hicks and her husband Kim of Wilbraham; one brother, Mitchell Dupont and his wife Sheila of Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wesley Blakely. A private service will be held for Valerie in Port St Richie, Florida.
