Marsha Lacoste Meynier Obituary

Marsha Lacoste Meynier passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in her home at the age of 71 years old.  Marsha was born in New Orleans, LA to Mr. and Mrs. Etienne Lacoste on July 22, 1950.  She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, worked for Shell Oil Company in New Orleans and retired from Dennis’ Seafood after twenty-three years of employment. She met and married Albert Herman Meynier, Jr. on June 10, 1972. Together, they celebrated over 49 years of marriage.

Marsha Meynier was a loving wife, mother, Mi-Mi, aunt, sister-in-law and devoted friend to many. She loved her family and friends and spent her life supporting and caring for all those whom she came in contact with.  Her hobbies included cooking, baking and traveling. As a hobby, she took cake decorating classes and enjoyed making cakes for her loved ones. She also loved to travel.  She spent her life traveling all across the world. Her travels included the Southeast coast and beaches, Carnival Cruises to the Caribbean and Italy and trips to New York, Connecticut and Las Vegas.

Marsha spent her life forever putting her family and friends first. She had a “pick up and go” attitude. She was always willing to go anywhere when asked and loved to socialize.  She was truly an angel on earth. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Etienne and Marion Lacoste and her son, Michael Albert Meynier. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Herman Meynier, Jr., her daughter, Michele Meynier Botello, her son-in-law, Robert Botello, III and her brother, Dennis Lacoste, Sr.

Marsha is also survived by her four grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Leo III and Nathan. Thank you to Harmony Hospice, her care team and her sitters, Bree and Tiffanie who assisted in caring for Marsha during her last days. Love, Bert, Michele and Robert!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 12:15 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119.
