Kenneth W. Conklin Obituary

Kenneth W. Conklin, 87 of Hillburn, NY passed away at home on January 18, 2022. Ken was born on February 23,1934 to Mildred and William H. Conklin in Spring Valley, NY and grew up in Monsey, NY. Ken was the beloved husband of Johanna Conklin, married in October of 1960, they bought a home and raised their family in Airmont, NY.
Ken was a loving father to his three children. Daughter, Kathleen Breen and her husband Jay.  Son William Conklin and his wife Lanie. Daughter Maureen De Mase and her husband Richard.
Beloved Poppi to his six Grandchildren, Nicole Libretti and her husband Frankie, Michael De Mase and his wife Taylore, Sean Breen, Dylan Breen, Lennon Conklin, Jagger Conklin and his Great Grandson Hudson De Mase. He is also survived by his brother, William Conklin, other family members including nephews & nieces. Kenneth served in the United States Marine Corps in 1953-1956. He was an active member of the Marine Corps League-Rockland County Detachment. He was interested in genealogy, researching and preserving historical information. Ken was a member of the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution), lifetime member of the Monsey American Legion Post 1447, active in Drum & Bugle Corps including The NY Skyliners, and in his church that was founded by his ancestors, "The Old Stone Church" Saddle River Reformed Church. Ken was a loving, honorable and giving man who will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5 -8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Old Stone Church in Upper Saddle River, NJ. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA or the Marine Corps League- Rockland County Detachment.
