Ward, 87, of Marblehead, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton. He was born on August 14, 1934 in Port Clinton, Ohio to Richard and Violet (Wright) Ward. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Alvin was a man who loved the outdoors; you would see him out on the golf course, fishing or just sitting out by the river, watching boats go by. He loved woodworking, especially on Matthews Boats. Bo Schembechler would bring his boat down for Alvin to work on it. When Alvin wasn&rsquo;t outside, he played guitar in a local band.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Alvin is survived by his daughters, Judy Ward and Jeanne (John) Welch, both of Marblehead; son, Joseph Ward of Perrysburg; grandsons, Brian and Brad Pruitt; great-grandson, Archer Pruitt; brother, Richard Ward of Port Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wanda Lou Ward; and sister-in-law, Elsie Ward.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Per Alvin&rsquo;s wishes, cremation has taken place. Alvin G. Ward, 87, of Marblehead, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton. He was born on August 14, 1934 in Port Clinton, Ohio to Richard and Violet (Wright) Ward.
