Maria E. Hernandez
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Maria E. Machado Hernandez, age 63, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at UW Health Swedish American. Maria was born on November 29, 1958, in Elkhorn, WI, to Trinidad and Alberto (Mena) Machado.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Maria was one of 13 children. She grew up in Rockford where she spent most of her life. Maria worked many different jobs throughout her years but enjoyed working for Beloit Memorial Hospital as an Emergency Room Technician for 14 years, leaving in 2018 due to health complications. </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Maria was best known for her cooking, baking, and sewing talents. She made the best casera food, and her tamales and traditional Mexican food was requested at every event. She loved to sew and quilt and enjoyed sewing Halloween costumes, dresses, and other clothing for her children and grandchildren. </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Maria adored her friends and family and would go far and beyond for anyone she knew. She was a very present parent and grandmother, never missing an event; from births, school programs, to birthday parties, graduations, and weddings, she was there for it all. Maria loved to travel, dance, quilt, laugh, drink, and make everyone feel at home.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Maria is survived by her husband, Mario A. Hernandez; her children, Angela (Daniel) Trevino, Alejandra (Dallas) Ries, Gabriel (Amanda) Encinas, Juan (Kristin) Machado, and Mario (Jolee) Hernandez; grandchildren, Julian, Isabella, Ethan, Danny, Logan, Franky, and Wren.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">There will be a celebration of life at a later date.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>Obituary
