<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Burton (Burt) G. Robson, 83 of Portland, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on January 18, 2022. Burt was born in Bath, MI on May 14, 1938. He is the son of Byron and Arlene (Dryer) Robson. Burt retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick&rsquo;s Church and the Knights of Columbus. After his retirement, he traveled yearly to Montana and several times to Alaska. He also enjoyed spending time in the Upper Peninsula at his son Tim&rsquo;s camp. He loved his grandkids, his Harley and especially, his dogs, Celeste, Sleepy and Annie. Burt also had a love of country music, especially Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Sr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Around town, he was known as the &ldquo;skinny santa with his snowdog&rdquo;. While traveling in Alaska, many thought he was a real mountain man. </span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Burt is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Dean and DeRua Webert, sister, Besty Robson, brothers-in-law,&nbsp;Richard Hanna, Lance Clark, Tom Webert, and Robert Trimmer, and grandson, Chad Schneider. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon, children, Tim (Julie) Robson, Michele (Kirk) Hoppes, Melanie (Russ) Schneider, Stephanie (Bill) Schneider, Byron (Missy) Robson, and Sarah (Jason) Haigh, siblings, Shirley Hanna, Mary Clark, and George (Cynthia) Robson, in-laws, Carol (Jim) Wilcox, David (Melanee) Webert, and Janice Trimmer, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many friends he has made over the years.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. The family will receive&nbsp;friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 1:30 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Burton (Burt) G. Robson, 83 of Portland, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on January 18, 2022. Burt was born in Bath, MI on May 14, 1938. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 1:30 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
