Matthew E. Gabaldon

<p>Matthew E. Gabaldon, 44, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on January 4, 2022 following a brief illness.&nbsp; Matthew was the son of Anna Romero and Tino Gabaldon, both of Las Vegas, NM. He is survived by his parents, Tino Gabaldon and Anna Romero of Las Vegas; step-children:&nbsp;&nbsp; Chastity, Chaz and Justyce Garcia; a nephew, Aaron Gabaldon; brother, Steven Gabaldon; a sister, Starlette Gabaldon, a god daughter, MaRian Brotaerton; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents:&nbsp; Tircio and Nora Romero and Philiberto and Alicia Gabaldon.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Matthew loved working in local restaurant&rsquo;s including La Fiesta as a longtime cook.&nbsp; His favorite NFL team were the Cincinnati Bengals.&nbsp; Matthew enjoyed cooking, fishing (but not eating fish), playing pool and spending time with his family and friends always joking around.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Services will be held from Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Friday, January 21, 2022 with a rosary beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial.&nbsp; Father Rob Yaksick will celebrate the Mass.&nbsp; Cremation has taken place and the interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as urn bearers:&nbsp; Roger Romero and Ryan Gabaldon. &nbsp;</p>
